My name is Bryon Richmond, thank you for visiting my portfolio!
I am a graduate with a BFA in Art & Design, focusing on Graphic Design, and a minor in Marketing from Lindenwood University, where I completed my studies in December 2022. I have studied multiple areas of digital media production, print design and how to effectively communicate with a wide range of audiences. I also have knowledge of the Adobe production and editing software and have a working knowledge of digital and video cameras.
Artist Statement
I want those who view my portfolio to understand that I do not want to be limited to only one skill in the graphic design field. My portfolio consists of work that I have created through a variety of concepts and platforms and with time and experience I want to add more. With the use of multiple mediums, I feel like I have more freedom to express different creative ideas. Through photography, I like to capture the beauty in nature and architecture. Through digital design, I like to produce practical work that demonstrates my growth and direction as an artist.
Throughout my grade school journey, I had a weird love-hate relationship with art. Whether it was a museum, a park, or just a general spot in a metropolitan area, I have always loved travelling and looking at the work of other artists. However, I would always stray away from actually participating in art classes because I would doubt myself, questioning why my work never turned out like the art I would see in public spaces. It was not until I got older that I began to realize that art is not perfect, and it does not have a rule book. I now believe that the actual art is created inside the artist, and their work is just the way they express it to the rest of the world. Looking at both my older projects and my more recent projects, I can tell that I have improved my ability to express my creativity. I want to continue in this direction by keeping my mind, eyes, and ears open.
